God speaks to you through your joy

For years I thought it was my job to "teach" people, to "lift" them up spiritually and to "care" for everyone else. And I did so. People learned, were uplifted, and cared for. However, sometimes I did this from a place of truth in my heart and other times I did it from a sense of urgency to "change the world." In the past I often burnt myself out as a result, gave from an empty cup, and got frustrated when I could not reach people.

Now I still teach classes but I do so when I feel like my heart and life are spilling over with something I want to share. Those that need the messages find me. I can enjoy my own classes now because I'm just sharing my own heart and lessons - not trying 'educate' minds, but rather trying to 'resonate' with hearts. I can do my readings now from the joy of working with the angels and knowing that wisdom will come whether or not people are ready to hear it. I can relax when I do not feel like giving, knowing that my down time is simply a time to fill up the cup so I can give more.

I had another past life regression* last week. Without going into details I saw that all my lives of martyrdom and suffering came from me deciding I'd come to earth and suffer through anything in an attempt to "wake up the world." Instead of just choosing to live my own life in joy and learn my own lessons, and trusting God would teach what he wanted through that... my zeal for "educating" earth got me into numerous lifetimes of pain, suffering, and torture. Blessedly, in this session, the angels showed up and relieved me of any residue of beliefs in my mind, heart, body, and soul that made me feel I had to suffer with and "for" others. The more I move forward, the more I want a life of incredible joy in which I can inspire those who want inspiration, rather than keeping misery company by being miserable myself. I think I'm done with those beliefs at long last - the ones that say "to care is to suffer with the suffering." Instead I now know that "to care is to assist by filling my cup and then sharing as God dictates."

Years ago the angels said "Ann, if a friend is standing in quicksand, isn't it more joyful to wait on the edge and offer a hand up rather than to jump in and let them stand on your head while attempting to climb out of the pit?" How little I grasped the truth of that statement at the time. To suffer with the suffering serves no one - unless you are joyfully guided to so - in which case you are not truly suffering. Dear souls such as Mother Teresa and many who work in disaster relief agencies, orphanages, and those who serve the poor do so because they are called to do so. It is in their hearts and it gives them joy to do so. I have met such saints among us. I have also met the martyrs who serve with little joy. I have been both.

If God wants you to do something, He gives you the longing, the heart, the physical and emotional energy, and the resources, to do so.

With the recent earthquake in Haiti, and in more disasters to come, we are all challenged to go into our hearts and ask, "God what, if anything do you want me to do for my sisters and brothers in pain?" For some it will be send money. For others it will be sending prayers or working in spiritual ways. For others, God will say, "Please take care of your own needs first and fill your own cup before you think of helping others." We must all ask, and then listen to the answer in our own hearts. The angels said if everyone can listen to the dictates of God through their heart, then NO one on this earth would be without. Those who can give joyfully would be easily matched with those who need to receive. There would be no sense of martyrdom or self sacrifice, but instead a heavenly flow from those with excess to those with need.

And while our world is nowhere near that level of evolution yet, this divine flow starts with us. So when you see others suffering, be it in a global disaster miles from home, or perhaps someone in your own family, pray. Ask God, "What do YOU want me to do, if anything, to assist." And then listen to your heart, your guidance, and do it. God always answers those prayers. If you hear nothing in reply, then doing nothing is the answer. It took me years to figure that out. God seeks to create balance in our lives an amongst all of humanity. We cannot judge whether or not we are doing 'enough' - we must TRUST that God will guide us to do what HE wants us to do, for He knows the needs of the soul, even beyond the needs of the personalities involved. And if you can pray for and listen to this guidance, there is great satisfaction in knowing that you are blooming according to your own Divine design, doing what God wants you to do in the world, and most importantly being who you are designed to be.

God bless you. Have a beautiful week.
Love,
Ann
